It focuses on being effective in self defence sitiutaions, but can be trained as a martial arts system

I've be studying Filipino Martial Arts for over 20 years with Grandmaster Anton St James (Doce Pares / San Miguel Eskrima) and Bob Breen (Inosanto & 4D)
Filipino Martial Arts are a complete system that includes empty hand striking, grappling, throwing & developing skills using and defending against sticks, knives & flexible weapons

My name is Matt Chapman and my Martial Arts journey began over 40 years ago studying Muay Thai & Filipino Martial Arts with Grandmaster Anton St James in Plymouth
After moving to London, I trained a Bob Breen's infamous JKD / Kali Academy in Hoxton, moving on to become a private student of Guro Bob for over 20 years.
At Bob's academy, I was introduced to Sensei Erik Paulson who taught me his Combat Submission Grappling system which helped me win a British Title in MMA in 2002.
Since then I've gone on to travel the world training with elite martial artists in Thailand, Canada, USA & across Europe
Im also the founder of an elite pad training system called "Mittmaster" that is used by over 20,000 instructors around the world to deliver world class lessons

Former British Welterweight MMA champion in UCMMA
3rd Degree Black Belt in 4D JKD under Guro Bob Breen
6th Degree Black Belt In Filipino Kickboxing under Grandmaster Anton St James
